Tuesday, 06-10-2026
AEGEAN continues to strategically expand its network, further strengthening Greece’s international connectivity and reinforcing Athens’ position as a key hub in the region.
As part of this ongoing network development, AEGEAN is launching a new direct route connecting Athens with Damascus, the capital of Syria, adding another destination in the Middle East to its international network. Flights to Damascus International Airport will commence on 2 December 2026 and will operate up to four times per week throughout the winter season, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
At the same time, the company is exploring further opportunities to expand its network in North Africa. The addition of Libya to AEGEAN’s network, with direct services to Tripoli and Benghazi, is planned for May 2027, subject to the completion of the required assessments and regulatory procedures.
Finally, from 23 October 2026, AEGEAN will resume direct flights between Athens and Dubai.
