Νetwork Update for Athens – Kalamata and Thessaloniki – Kalamata routes

AEGEAN would like to inform all passengers, that the Athens – Kalamata route will be extended for two additional months, until October 31st. The route was launched for the first time in May 2023, in order to facilitate the connection of both international and domestic passengers to Kalamata, via the Athens hub. It should be reminded that this route is a commercial and not a public service obligation route.

The Thessaloniki – Kalamata route, operated by Olympic Air and falling within the public service routes, will cease to operate on 31/8/2023 when the relevant contract for the non-operational route expires. The company looks forward to the acceleration of the relevant procedures by the competent authorities for the completion of a successful tender for its operation, in order to restore the execution of this route as soon as possible.
