AEGEAN and the Athens University of Economics and Business sign Memorandum of Understanding

AEGEAN and the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aiming to strengthen the connection between the academic community and the labor market, promote education and innovation, and create new opportunities for the University’s students.
The Memorandum was signed by Pepi Stamati, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer of AEGEAN, and the Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Professor Vassilis Vasdekis, formalizing a strategic partnership with a long-term vision for the development of human capital equipped with modern skills and strong career prospects.
Within the framework of the cooperation, AEGEAN and the Athens University of Economics and Business will develop a series of joint initiatives, including, among others, the provision of internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, the preparation of studies and research projects in areas of mutual interest, as well as the design and delivery of training programs by AUEB, aimed at enhancing the skills of AEGEAN employees. In parallel, the cooperation provides for AEGEAN’s participation and support in conferences, competitions, awards, and social responsibility initiatives organized by AUEB, either independently or jointly. In addition, the partnership includes the organization of in-person or virtual meetings between AEGEAN’s senior executives and AUEB students, with the goal of sharing knowledge and best professional practices.
On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum, Pepi Stamati, Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer of AEGEAN, stated:

The signing ceremony, held at the premises of the Athens University of Economics and Business, was also attended by the Vice Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning, Professor Georgia Siougle, AEGEAN executives Marina Valvi, Corporate Affairs & Communications Director, Emmanouela Karamali, Human Resources Director, and Marianna Tzachrista, Human Resources Manager, as well as Nikos Kyrezis, CEO of the AUEB Property Development and Management Company and Head of Communications, and Lizeta Spanou, Communications Department Executive of AUEB.
