“Team AEGEAN”: AEGEAN Employee Volunteers Celebrate Love… with a Tree-Planting Initiative on Mount Hymettus

On Saturday, 14 February 2026, “Team AEGEAN”, the voluntary employee group of AEGEAN, undertook a tree-planting initiative on Mount Hymettus, sending a unique message of love and community contribution. Employees, together with their families and loved ones, joined forces to celebrate love in an unconventional way, through a symbolic and meaningful action for the environment.

The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the environmental organization We4All, with volunteers planting more than 500 trees in the Mount Hymettus area, actively supporting the restoration and preservation of Attica’s natural landscape. The initiative’s hands-on challenges underscored the teamwork, dedication, and collaborative spirit that define the people of AEGEAN.

“This year, we celebrated love… in a different way. We celebrated love for the environment, for society, and for everything that unites us and inspires us to give back. Through this initiative, we witnessed once again what we can achieve when all of us at AEGEAN come together. Over the years, through various volunteer initiatives, we have proved that a shared purpose inspires us and drives us to make a real difference. This initiative marks a new, meaningful chapter for Team AEGEAN, a unified and dynamic volunteer community that will remain active throughout the year, implementing actions that benefit society and the environment. A team born from the genuine spirit of contribution that lies at the heart of our DNA. At AEGEAN, love for the environment and society is not just words—it is action,” said Pepi Stamati, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer of AEGEAN.

Team AEGEAN represents the evolution of voluntary initiatives carried out over the past years, including Santa Crew, Easter Crew, and Eco Crew, bringing all employee-led social and environmental activities under a single identity. Its establishment marks the beginning of a new, dynamic chapter for the company, with initiatives that promote participation, foster a sense of community, and inspire AEGEAN employees to actively contribute to creating a tangible positive impact, strengthening local communities and protecting the natural environment.
