AEGEAN, for the fifth consecutive year, through its employee volunteer group “AEGEAN Santa Crew,” brought the spirit of Christmas to students in schools across remote regions of Greece, creating memorable festive moments and offering meaningful experiences of creativity, joy, and inspiration.

On 3 December 2025, volunteers and cabin crew members of AEGEAN and Olympic Air travelled on three dedicated flights to Lemnos, Alexandroupolis, Kos, Samos and Kythira, delivering gifts, festive cheer and materials for creating Christmas decorations using the upcycling method. At primary schools in these areas, the volunteers, in collaboration with We4all, implemented educational workshops alongside students, focusing on the creation of festive decorations using reusable and natural materials. Classrooms and school courtyards were transformed into a festive Christmas workshop, offering students engaging experiences that fostered creativity, collaboration and the festive spirit.

Students welcomed the volunteers and crews with strong enthusiasm, acknowledging the visit through Christmas carols, refreshments, gifts and small symbolic gestures prepared by them, with the active support of their teachers who embraced the initiative, as well as parents’ associations. The children’s creations were promptly displayed in classrooms, enhancing the learning environment with a warm and festive character, while the gifts provided by AEGEAN further reinforced the celebratory tone of the day. In parallel, AEGEAN addressed the specific needs of each school by facilitating the provision of technological equipment and educational materials, making a meaningful contribution to the improvement of students’ daily school experience.

“It is always meaningful for AEGEAN to engage with children, especially in remote regions of Greece where access to similar initiatives is more limited. The positive response from students and teachers was highly encouraging and a source of great satisfaction for all involved, while our volunteers, once again, played a crucial role in the successful implementation of this initiative. Through their commitment, consistency and dedication, the AEGEAN Santa Crew continues to expand, evolve and further strengthen its impact,” said Marina Valvi, Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications at AEGEAN. “Since its establishment, AEGEAN has consistently supported local communities by implementing initiatives that promote education, environmental protection, culture and the overall well-being of the younger generation.”

AEGEAN extends its sincere gratitude to the school principals, teachers and parents’ associations of the participating schools for their excellent collaboration, as well as to We4all for its invaluable contribution to the planning and execution of the creative workshops.

Through such initiatives, AEGEAN and the “AEGEAN Santa Crew” continue to bring the holiday spirit, engaging educational experiences to children across Greece, reaching every region of the country with a steadfast commitment to supporting and enhancing local communities.
