AEGEAN launches the new cycle of the Pilot Scholarship Programme

Applications to be submitted until 15 January 2024 

AEGEAN announces the new cycle of the Pilot Scholarship Programme, launched successfully in 2018, inviting young people pursuing a career in the aviation industry to apply.  

The new cycle is aiming to welcome 40 new candidates, out of the 120 in total, and gives them the opportunity to obtain an Integrated Commercial Pilot License with MCC, in cooperation with Global Aviation and Egnatia Aviation schools. The programme covers most of the total cost of the tuition fees required, while ensuring a professional career, as future captains at AEGEAN and Olympic Air. 

The program is a full-time course with a duration of 17 to 19 months and includes theoretical and flight training in aircrafts and flight simulators. Candidates are required to submit their applications until January, 15, 2024. 

With this CSR initiative, of a total value of more than 7 million euros, AEGEAN wishes to support young people who dream of becoming pilots, to make their dream come true as the scholarship program is covering most of the total cost required to obtain their license. An extremely important support, since the total cost of a future pilot, including type rating, exceeds 90,000 euros. At the same time, AEGEAN actively supports the capacity building of the entire aviation sector in Greece by helping to develop a new breed of aviation professionals. Following a similar initiative that has been launched recently for Aviation Engineers.
