Kifissia, 27 August 2015
For the 3rd consecutive year, ΑEGEAN, stands by Greece's youth and families, running the Student Program "Supporting the Youth”, launched for the first time, in the academic year 2013 – 2014.
This initiative is targeted to all freshmen students admitted to Greek Universities, away from their residence.
During the new academic year 2015 – 2016, another 250 Greek students will receive 8 free tickets per year, for the total duration of their four or five year studies. AEGEAN’s initiative regards 100 students from the islands on remote areas (Astypalea, Zakynthos, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kasos, Kastellorizo, Kythira, Leros, Milos, Naxos, Paros, Skiathos, Skyros, Syros) and 150 students from the rest of Greece.
Following submission of the necessary applications and documents, 500 students in total already (250 newly admitted in 2013 & 250 newly admitted in 2014) have been redeeming the program's benefits, by receiving more than 22,000 tickets, for the total duration of their studies. By continuing the program during 2015 – 2016, AEGEAN will offer in total, more than 33,000 tickets to 750 students for the completion of their studies.
It is noted that the inclusion criteria are mainly socio-economic, since the company aims once again to support young students in the current economic environment and help Greek families across the country meet their financial obligations.
AEGEAN's decision to expand the Student Program "Supporting the Youth" for the 3rd consecutive year, underlies the company's commitment to stand by Greek families, supporting them in the best possible manner.
