AEGEAN’s flights carry the Easter holiday spirit

Monday, 18-04-2011

Upholding the customs and traditions of the Holy Week and the Easter Feast, Aegean will carry the Holiday spirit with all its flights again this year.

Specifically, like every year, during the Holy Week (Good Monday up to and including Holy Saturday) and on all Aegean’s domestic, international and charter flights, a fasting menu will apply and will be served to both business and economy-class passengers.

Moreover, from the morning of Good Monday up to the evening of Good Friday, and in accordance with the spirit of these particular days, a selection of classical music tracks will be played in the Aegean aircraft during boarding and landing.

For the 12th year, Aegean will maintain the “Pot Throwing” Easter custom of Corfu. From Good Tuesday until the morning of Holy Saturday, traditional clay pots will be offered to the passengers of all flights to Corfu, encouraging them to uphold the Corfiots’ custom and smash their pots at 11:00am on Holy Saturday.

Especially for our junior passengers of up to 12 years old, Aegean will once again be giving away their favorite chocolate Easter bunnies, from Good Wednesday until all of Easter Sunday.

Also, during Holy Saturday, Easter candles accompanied by holiday wishes will be offered to all Aegean passengers.

Finally, as part of the airline’s Easter and Holy Week offers, Aegean is preparing the distribution of traditional raisin bread during Good Friday, exclusively for domestic flights’ passengers, as well as of Easter sweet bread during Easter Sunday and Easter Monday for all international and charter flights’ passengers.

Always showing special consideration and respect for its passengers and for tradition, Aegean continues to innovate during the Easter period, with the offers and services it renders to its passengers on its flights during Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
