The flight safety foundation honors Mr. Theodore Vassilakis, President & CEO of Aegean Airlines

Mr. Theodoros Vassilakis, President and CEO of Aegean Airlines, accepted the invitation of the Flight Safety Foundation to join the Honorary Advisory Board of the Foundation.In the letter of invitation, Mr. Stuart Matthews, President and CEO of Flight Safety Foundation, notes:

"The support that AEGEAN AIRLINES provides for the activities of the Flight Safety Foundation is very much appreciated. One of our major concepts is that safety begins at the top of any organization and we know that the support that we receive from your airline is very much influenced by your personal attitude toward maintaining and continiously seeking to improve aviation safety. For some time we have been anxious to recognize your contribution and influence on safety culture, not only with AEGEAN AIRLINES, but also on the commercial aviation industry generally. The publication of Mr. Vassilakis' name among those of other industry leaders of similar standing as well as that of AEGEAN AIRLINES, demonstrate the commitment of the company's management to ongoing efforts to continiously improve aviation safety.

It is worth noting that Mr. Theod. Vassilakis is founding member of Flight Safety Foundation Office for the area of SouthEastern Europe, while AEGEAN AIRLINES is a member of the same foundation.
