April 2017 - Tribute to Ionian Islands
We end our round of dedications to places throughout Greece with the Ionian islands! April is devoted to these beautiful islands with their turquoise waters and friendly locals.
Kefalonia, Corfu, Zakynthos, Lefkada, Ithaki, Paxoi and Kythera are ready to welcome you through our tribute this month, inviting you to discover and explore them.
As every month, our journey begins through our lounges in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larnaka, which will be filled with flavours of the Ionian islands: Olive oil rusks, "ladograviera" cheese, sandwiches with prentza cream cheese and Zakynthian "ladograviera", Kumquat liqueur and Kumquat preserves, "Fi" premium artisan liqueur are all waiting to take you on a journey of flavours around the beautiful Ionian islands.
All our travellers in Economy Class during the month of April will have the chance to taste fig paste and marzipan from Lefkada, Corfu nougat with pistachios and cranberries, Kefalonian candied almonds and the Zakynthian biscuit.
Business Class passengers will find two more choices on their menu: Chicken cooked in the traditional clay pot with oregano, lemon, garlic, tomatoes and Robola wine with buttered pasta and gruyere cheese from Corfu island, as well as white cod fish tranche cooked with Vertzami white wine from Lefkada on sautéed spinach and herbs with garlic, lemon, spring onions, chives and paprika. "Fi" premium artisan liqueur will also be offered as an alternative to wine.
